I have been in dire need of some spring, so on my way back from mom's today, I stopped at the Arnold Arboretum, hoping to find some signs.

The days seem to drag, but the weeks fly by. Already it is March, and only a couple weeks until the equinox. It feels like spring might actually be on time this year, but it's hard to tell. Slowly but surely, spring is breaking out in New England. We've even had some warm weather, though not for the past couple of days. But no snow! Some of my friends and relatives in NY and PA have gotten snow, but not us, knock wood.

It is finally spring here in New England! I found crocuses coming up along the bike trail the other day:



Yesterday, I went to the wildlife refuge, where the ice is finally gone.

I popped into the Arnold Arboretum yesterday, on my way to mum's. It's only a little out of the way, and I was craving trees and signs of spring. There is still plenty of snow on the ground, but there were bare patches, and several signs of spring, 'though we're at least two weeks behind where we were last year at this time.

Temps have been above freezing for the past few days, and melting has occurred. Things have started to emerge from the snowbanks, and the sidewalks are mostly clear of ice. I had a nice walk today, all the way down to the park.

Soaring around above were several vultures, which are another sign of spring. They're back!
